Religion
In Mesopotamia, there is no freedom of religion, therefor the religion is a Polytheism called Metonyotheism. In Metonyotheism each city receives a representative God or Goddess that the citizens worship in their local church. Each God/Goddess is given a annual Festival each year for the God/Goddess.
Anu is the god of the heavens and king of the gods.
Enlil is the god of air, wind, and storms. Enki is the shaper of the world as well as god of wisdom, intellect, and magic. Utu is the god of the sun as well as justice and the law. Inanna is the goddess of love and war. Nanna (Sin) is god of the moon. |
